FAQ - Barrisol Clim® Featuring Carrier® Products Ceilings

What power is required for the cooling aspect of a Barrisol Clim® featuring Carrier® system?

The Barrisol Clim® featuring Carrier® ceiling can be connected to a forced air cooling system developing up to 550 W / m2 of sensitive power.

This value is very high and allows the system to cover 100% of the cooling needs of a building in all areas of the world. In most cases the Barrisol Clim® featuring Carrier® system is coupled with a less powerful cooling system (adapted to the real needs of the building), for example the cooling capacity of a new office building in France is of the order 60W / m2

The power handling in cooling mode (see chart below) depends on:

  • The interior temperature of the room (°C),
  • HR indoor humidity (%),
  • The forced air flow Q (m3/h).

Example: I wish to cool a room of 10m2 at 22 ° C and 50% HR with a power of 1200W or (120W / m2).

My air conditioning system should have a minimum airflow of 20m3/h/m2 (200m3/h).

Attention, the chart is based on the permissible power limit values, according to the comfort criteria to respect an adjustment of the air flow (calculated during the Barrisol Clim® feasibility studies) will have to be realized.
