When LEDs are installed in the plenum of a Barrisol Clim® ceiling, the blown air will cool them and thus extend their lifetime.
The phenomenon is easily understood in air conditioning mode where fresh air is blown into the plenum.
The LEDs will also be cooled when in either heating mode. In fact the surface temperature of a LED is greater than 50° C, while the hot air is pulsed in the plenum generally at a temperature of the order of 35° C.
